Photo Hunt Challenge for 08 MAY-13 MAY

Greetings everyone!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Chris and I am currently a trumpet player for the Army, stationed in Iraq. I discovered photography as a hobby during my last deployment and I love it. I almost always have a camera of some sort with me!

Anyways: the word for this week is Deviant.

Week One!

Congrats and thanks to everyone who participated.  I'm giving the choosing honors to Chris for next weeks assignment - thanks for being the first to post and having all those great images.

To simplify things a bit, let's go with one image and we'll make it the standard that the first person to post gets to choose the next photo find and can post it whenever they feel like it (as long as it's by next friday).

For posters looking for a challenge, you  can take Chris's word and put up to 3 photos that all somehow fit into that word or description. 

Anyone that still has images from last weeks post is still welcome to share their images, just be sure to add what they're from.

Spring - These English Daisies were really sad a week ago after a heavy hail storm, but after picking off the dead ones, these flowers came back with gusto!

Something in the sky - it's a bird, it's a plane...I'm pretty sure it was superman.

Something old/blue - these antiques were my grandmothers.

It's Friday, and the time is here!

Here are the first photo finds - being the first week, I'm going ease you into it.  Things can get tricky as we move along though.  =)

• Spring
• Something in the Sky
• and in regards to current events - Something old, and Something blue. 
• optional additional find - a self portrait.

We have until Next Friday, the 6th to post our images.  You can post up to 2 images for each find, but please post everything in one post.

Most importantly - Have Fun!

Updates and requests

I've had a request for more buzz words in a week, so this week we'll be posting 3 words to start out.  If that's still to easy, we'll up the ante to 5 or 10.  Can't wait to see everyone's images!

Welcome to the Hunt!

Welcome Friends to the photography scavenger hunt!

Get your cameras ready, those batteries charged and those lenses cleaned - it's time to get out there and shoot!

Here is how the hunt will work:

• Each week, 1 buzz word or phrase will be posted and you can post up to 3 images for the word.  
• If you post more then one image, please do so all the the same post, so as not to take up too much page space - and all "medium" images. 
• You can interpret the word in any way you like.  Nothing has to be literal.
• I recommend putting your name on your image.  (if you need help with this let me know)
• We'll have a whole week to take and post our image.  
• The weeks start and end on Friday.   
• Vote for your favorite image in a comment - the image with the most comments for the week wins. 
• The winner gets to pick the next week's topic.  - It can be anything but it has to be interpretable, so try not to make it too literal - like Mickey or Hotel.  Instead try - "character" or "vacation destination". 
• To keep it going, if you can't post a new buzz word, I or the runner up will post one the following Saturday morning.  
• the only rules for the photos you post are:

1. It has to be clean and,
2. It has to be your photo! (try not to cheat and use an old one).

It doesn't matter what type or how much gear you have and phone camera images are absolutely okay. 

Any of this strategy can be revised with suggestions at any time and new topics can be suggested at any time by anyone - just post what you'd like to see!  There are both pros and beginners on here...but I'm so looking forward to seeing all your lovely images that I know I'll be jealous I didn't take myself.  =)
